Can my AI agent edit a spreadsheet?
Yes. Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Grok or any app you connect over MCP reads a tab as a table and writes cells, rows, formulas, formats and sorts. It can add a tab, make a table, or put a chart beside a range. Each change glows in that agent’s color with its name, and Board activity lists it.
Which formulas work?
The everyday Google Sheets ones, from SUM and IF to SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, FILTER and TEXTJOIN, more than a hundred in all, with references across tabs and named ranges. A few Google-only ones, like QUERY, IMPORTRANGE and GOOGLEFINANCE, aren’t here.
Can I import Excel or Google Sheets?
Import an Excel or CSV file and every tab comes in with its formulas, number formats, bold and column widths. From Google Sheets, download the file as Excel first. You can download a tab as CSV, or the whole sheet as Excel.
Can a chart on a slide use my sheet?
Yes. A chart on a Slides board can take its numbers from a range on a sheet, and it changes when the sheet does.
How big can a sheet get?
A tab holds up to 10,000 rows and 104 columns, and a sheet up to 40 tabs.
