The basics

ContextBolt is run by David, a sole trader in Scotland. "We" and "us" mean that. ContextBolt makes tools that plug your own data into the AI assistants you already use, and two of them are live.

These terms cover both products, the free tools on contextbolt.com, and the website itself. Every section says which one it applies to. Use any of them and you agree to this. If you do not agree, uninstall the extension and stop using the service.

The two products are billed separately and have separate accounts. Buying one gives you nothing on the other.

Bookmarks: what you get

Basic, free: no card, no email. The extension saves everything you send it and shows you the most recent 150. Saves beyond that are kept on your machine but sit outside the visible window, so they are not searchable and not synced, and if they arrived together in a bulk import they are never sent for tagging either. Upgrade and every one of them comes back.

Pro, $6/month: the whole library visible and searchable, cloud sync, and a personal MCP endpoint for connecting your bookmarks to AI tools like Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and Windsurf.

ContextBolt SEO: what you get

$35/month: there is no free tier. You get an MCP server your agent connects to, a dashboard on the web, and 1,000 credits a month.

A 7-day free trial comes first, with everything switched on and a 100-credit cap. You are not charged until it ends, and cancelling during it costs you nothing.

Credits are how the tools are metered, because the underlying data costs us money per lookup. Most tools cost 1 credit and a few cost more. The dearest is the full AI visibility report at 50, plus 8 for each competitor you ask it to compare you against, up to four, so 82 at the top. Every tool states its cost in the description your agent reads, so ask your agent what something costs before you run it. The product does not stop to confirm a spend, and it will not spend what you do not have. Your monthly 1,000 reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. If you need more, top-up packs are $9 for 250, $19 for 600 and $39 for 1,500. Top-up credits never expire, and your monthly allowance is always spent first so a top-up is not wasted.

Your account

Bookmarks: installing the extension creates an anonymous account so we can manage API access and rate limits. Upgrading to Pro needs an email address and a license key, activated through Lemon Squeezy.

ContextBolt SEO: your account is created when you subscribe, and your email address is the account.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person or one business, not a group.

Payments and cancellation

Both products are billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy, who are the merchant of record for every purchase. Cancel any time from your Lemon Squeezy billing portal, and Bookmarks Pro can also be cancelled from the extension's Settings.

Cancel and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not operate a refund window and we do not refund partial months. Both products can be tried before you commit, so nobody has to buy blind. ContextBolt SEO has the 7-day trial, and Bookmarks has a free tier that needs no card.

None of this affects your statutory rights under the consumer law of your own country, or the buyer terms of Lemon Squeezy.

If a payment fails

Your access lasts as long as the month you paid for, and then it stops. Lemon Squeezy will keep trying your card after that and we will email you, but the product is switched off while that happens. Pay and it comes straight back on, with everything where you left it. This applies to both products.

When Bookmarks Pro ends

Your MCP endpoint stops working and cloud sync switches off. The copy in your browser is untouched. Your library goes back to showing the most recent 150, and nothing is deleted. Everything above the line is still on your machine, waiting, and it all comes back if you subscribe again.

The copy already synced to our servers stays there until you ask us to remove it. Email [email protected] and we will, within 7 days.

When ContextBolt SEO ends

Your MCP endpoint and your dashboard stop answering. Your monthly credits go with the subscription and are not refunded. Top-up credits are yours and stay on the account, waiting, if you come back.

Your research history is not deleted when you cancel, but it is not kept forever either. Lookups you pinned, or ran three times or more, stay until you ask us to remove them. Anything you looked at once or twice is cleared 60 days after you last touched it, cancelled or not.

Disconnect Google Search Console before you cancel if you want to do it yourself. Disconnecting runs through the MCP endpoint, and the endpoint stops answering when the subscription ends, so afterwards it is our job rather than yours. Email [email protected] and we delete the stored credential within 7 days. Revoking us at your Google account permissions page stops us using it immediately, and you should do that too, but it does not remove our copy.

Your data

You own your data. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and we never use your content to train AI models. Running the products does mean your content passes through other companies, and our privacy policy names every one of them and says exactly what each one sees. Read it. It is the document that describes what we actually do with your information, and these terms do not override it.

One thing worth saying here rather than only there. Bookmarks cloud sync is not end-to-end encrypted. The copy on our servers is readable by us, because the MCP endpoint has to read it to answer your AI tool. Basic never syncs, so your library stays on your machine, but that is not the same as us holding nothing about you. The privacy policy lists what we hold on the free tier, and it is not nothing.

Your MCP endpoints and links

Both products give you URLs with a secret token in them. The Bookmarks endpoint, the ContextBolt SEO endpoint, and your SEO dashboard link. Anyone holding one of those URLs can use it, so treat them like passwords. Do not paste them into a public repo, a screenshot or a support ticket.

Two of the three you can replace yourself. The Bookmarks token regenerates from the extension's Settings, and the SEO dashboard link regenerates from the footer of the board. Either one breaks the old URL immediately, so you will need to reconnect your AI tools. The ContextBolt SEO endpoint token has no self-serve reset. If it leaks, email [email protected], say that it has leaked, and we rotate it by hand. A leaked credential goes to the front of the queue.

The Bookmarks endpoint can search your bookmarks, export them and add new ones. It cannot edit or delete what is already there. You are responsible for keeping your tokens secure, and for anything done with them while they are live.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with or without notice. If we close yours for something you did, we do not refund it.

Third-party platforms and data

Bookmarks works with X/Twitter, Reddit and LinkedIn to capture your posts, and can save any web page you open. We are not affiliated with any of them, and your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms. If one of them changes how it works, ContextBolt may stop capturing from it until we catch up.

ContextBolt SEO reports data from third parties, including search volumes, rankings, backlinks and what AI assistants say. We pass that on as we receive it. We do not warrant that any of it is accurate, complete or current, and you should not treat it as advice. Search results move constantly, and two tools looking at the same keyword will disagree.

Intellectual property

ContextBolt, including its code, design, branding and documentation, is ours. You get a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the products for personal or professional purposes. You may not copy, modify or redistribute any part of them without written permission.

What you put in stays yours. Your bookmarks, your keywords, your reports.

Service availability

We aim to keep both products up and reliable, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Things go down for maintenance, for updates, and for reasons outside our control. Both products are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

ContextBolt is built and run by one person. That is worth knowing when you decide how much to depend on it.

Limitation of liability

These are productivity tools. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost bookmarks, missed content, data loss, decisions you made on SEO data we reported, or any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the products. Our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of ContextBolt is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the products change. Material changes go out by email if you have an account with us, or through the extension. Carrying on using ContextBolt after a change is published means you accept it. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
