An illustration of Grok Bot with ContextBolt SEO connected. You ask it to set up a routine that runs every Monday at 9:00 AM, compares the last 7 days in Search Console with the 7 before, and names the pages that dropped. On Monday the routine posts its result in the chat: three pages on an example site lost 3 or more positions, with no credits used. Beside it, the routine itself: every Monday at 9:00 AM, active, two Search Console calls, this week and last, that spend no credits and a post to the chat.

Why routines need live SEO data

  • No model knows this week's numbers A better model writes a better brief. It still cannot see this month's search volume or today's top 10.
  • Routines run while your laptop sleeps Grok Bot runs routines in the cloud with the laptop closed. An SEO server on localhost is not there to answer.
  • A hosted server every run can reach ContextBolt SEO is public HTTPS. Each run gets live keyword data, Google's top 10 and your Search Console.

How to set up a Grok Bot SEO routine

  1. Step 1 Start your free trial Seven days and 100 credits, card upfront. The Search Console tools spend none of them, so a Monday check costs no credits from day one.
  2. Step 2 Tell Grok Bot to add the server There is no settings form. In chat, send Add this MCP server: https://seo.contextbolt.app/mcp and sign in with your SEO account email and the code we send. Then ask it to connect Search Console and approve Google's read-only access.
  3. Step 3 Say what to run, and when Describe the routine in plain words, like every Monday at 9:00 AM. On a phone, open the Bot's profile and tap Add routine. Grok Bot runs it in the cloud while your laptop is closed and posts the result in chat.

Three SEO routines to copy

Paste one into Grok Bot chat and change the site. Each reads live data, and each costs a known number of credits per run.

  • TimeSchedules follow the Timezone under Bot in Grok Bot's Settings.
  • TestTest runs it now and does real work, so paid lookups spend credits.
  • PauseEach run also uses Grok Bot's own usage. Pause what you stop reading.
  • PublishKeep it in chat. Let the routine research, then approve changes yourself.

Run all three every week and a month uses about 25 of your 1,000 credits.

Why run them on ContextBolt SEO

Catch a slipping page in week oneThe Monday routine compares 7 days of Search Console with the 7 before and names the pages that lost ground. Search Console calls spend no credits, so the check spends no credits, week after week.
Targets picked from numbersA shortlist routine pulls volume, difficulty and intent for a topic, then checks the live top 10 for the best few. The bot drafts against a results page it actually fetched.
A rival watched for a credit a weekA Friday routine pulls the keywords a competitor ranks for and posts the new ones worth a look. One credit per run, and every result saves to your SEO Dashboard.

What our users say

Our own site Google Search Console for contextbolt.com, June 11 to September 10, 2026. 5.48K total clicks and 886K total impressions, both lines rising through the summer.
Google clicks and impressions for contextbolt.com, June 11 to September 10, 2026, as Search Console shows them. Our own website is our first case study.
The biggest thing is it cuts out the guessing. Instead of sitting there wondering what to chase next, I can get a pretty clear direction quickly and turn it into actual pages for the sites.

“I was looking for a fast way to get real SEO data without learning yet another dashboard. ContextBolt nails that… I can ask for keyword difficulty, SERP overviews and competitor research in plain language, right in the tool where I already do my work.”
Fred fredrobert.com
“I like your product because it doesn’t feel like a whole new system I need to learn. I just added the MCP to my Claude config for the local website repo and started asking questions.”
Matthias ordicall.ai
“The research compounds instead of disappearing after each session.”

What does a Grok Bot SEO routine cost?

The trial is free for 7 days with 100 credits, card upfront. Then ContextBolt SEO is $35 a month for 1,000 credits. A Search Console routine spends no credits at all. A keyword or competitor lookup costs one credit, so a weekly competitor watch uses four or five credits a month. Grok Bot also counts its own usage for each run, on its side.

How do I set up a routine in Grok Bot?

On desktop, tell the Bot in chat what to do and when, like every weekday at 8:00 AM. On your phone, open the Bot's profile and tap Add routine under Routines. Grok Bot starts a message that begins Set up a routine to, and you finish the sentence. You can pause, test, edit or delete it later.

Does a test run spend credits?

A test does real work. If the routine calls a paid lookup, the test spends that credit, the same as a scheduled run. A routine that only reads Search Console costs nothing to test. A new routine waits for its first scheduled time unless you test it.

Grok Bot is switching to better models. Does it still need SEO data?

Yes. Elon Musk said on October 7, 2026 that Grok Bot will use the best back end model for each task, Claude Opus 5.5 included. A better model still cannot see this month's search volume or Google's top 10. That takes a live data source, and ContextBolt SEO is hosted where the bot can reach it.

Should a routine publish changes for me?

No. Schedule the research and comparisons, and keep publishing in chat, where you read the draft first. Search rewards a page over months, so a wrong title tag shipped at 3:00 AM costs more than the hour the routine saved. The SEO automation guide draws the same line.
