X bookmark folders
that fill themselves.
X keeps folders for paid accounts and makes you file each save by hand. ContextBolt sorts every X bookmark into a topic, with tags, a moment after you save it. Open a topic like a folder.

An illustration from an example library. On the left, X's bookmarks page on a free account: one long list in the order the posts were saved, a pasta recipe, a cheap flight, a lifting plan, bread, Kyoto, painting a room and more, with a note that folders need X Premium. On the right, the same bookmarks in ContextBolt, sorted into six topics with counts: Recipes 268, Money 241, Fitness 226, Travel 212, Dogs 197 and Home and DIY 187. Travel is open, showing the flight deal and the Kyoto post, each with its tags.

Where X bookmark folders fall short
- Folders need a paid X plan A free account gets one list, All Bookmarks. Folders come with X’s paid tiers.
- You file every save by hand Each bookmark becomes a tap plus a choice. Skip the choice once and the folder is out of date.
- ContextBolt files them for you Each save gets a topic and two to four tags a moment after you bookmark it. Nothing to pick.
How to organize your Twitter bookmarks
- Step 1 Add ContextBolt to Chrome One click from the Chrome Web Store. No account, no card and no X Premium. Works in Chrome, Brave, Arc and Edge.
- Step 2 Open your X bookmarks page ContextBolt captures the bookmarks X loads and scrolls to pull in more. After that, every post you bookmark is saved the moment you tap the icon.
- Step 3 Open a topic like a folder Each save gets a topic and tags on its own. Your topics line up down the side of the library, with a count on each. Click one to open it.
Pro adds a personal MCP endpoint, so Claude, Cursor or Codex can search these saves in a conversation. How the connection works
How topics compare with X folders
A topic works like a folder you never file into. ContextBolt reads each save, picks its topic and adds its tags. Your topics line up down the side of the library, each with a count.
The trade is control. You can't rename a topic, make one by hand or move a save to another topic. When a save fits two subjects, its tags carry the second one.
Filter by any tag from the search box. Type #japan and every save tagged japan comes back.

Can you get Twitter bookmark folders for free?
Not on X. Bookmark folders come with X's paid plans, from the Basic tier up. A free account gets one list, All Bookmarks. ContextBolt is a free Chrome extension that sorts your X bookmarks into topics on its own, up to 150 bookmarks. Pro removes the cap for $6 a month.
Is there a Chrome extension for X bookmark folders?
ContextBolt is the closest thing. It doesn't add folders to X. It saves your X bookmarks to its own library and files each one under a topic, with tags. Open the library and your topics sit down the side with a count on each, like a folder list. It runs in Chrome, Brave, Arc and Edge.
Can I rename a topic or make my own?
No. ContextBolt names each topic from what you save, then reuses it as new saves come in, so the list stays short. You can't rename a topic, make one by hand or move a save to another topic. If you want to file every post yourself, X's own folders do that on a paid plan.
Can one bookmark sit in two topics?
Each save has one topic. It also gets two to four tags, which are more specific. Type a tag with a # in the search box, like #japan, and every save with that tag comes back, whatever its topic.
Will my old X bookmarks get sorted too?
Yes. Open your X bookmarks page and ContextBolt captures the bookmarks X loads, scrolling to pull in more. Each one gets a topic and tags a moment later. The free plan shows your 150 most recent bookmarks. Pro shows them all.
Does ContextBolt change my bookmarks or folders on X?
No. It reads the bookmarks X shows you and keeps its own copy. Nothing on X changes, so if you already pay for folders, they stay as they are.
Do Reddit and LinkedIn saves get topics too?
Yes. Your Reddit saves, the LinkedIn posts you save with our button and the web pages you save all land in the same library. They share one set of topics, so a Kyoto tweet and a Kyoto thread can land in the same topic.
How do I find one bookmark inside a topic?
Search. It reads the post, the author, the tags and the topic, and forgives typos. Type a few words and the closest matches come first. Our guide to finding your X bookmarks shows every way to search.
