It’s 8:40 and you have six tabs open before you’ve done anything. Calendar. To-do list. A timer on your phone. The weather, because you’re deciding whether to walk to lunch. And the one number you check every morning, behind a login.
None of it is hard to find. It’s just everywhere.
Context Board puts it on one screen. Not a page you fill in once and stop opening, but a board that keeps time, runs your timer and refreshes your calendar while it’s open.
What goes on a personal dashboard
Start from the Calm desk template. It works the moment it opens, with nothing to connect.
- Clock: the time here, as hands or digits.
- World clocks: the time where your people are. One clock can show several places.
- Focus timer: 25 minutes on, 5 off. It keeps running if you reload the page.
- Today: a note for whatever matters this week. Your agent can read it.
- Three things: a short to-do list you and your agent can both tick off.
- Habits: tick the days you did the thing, and watch the streak grow.
Move them, resize them, delete the ones you don’t need. Add a countdown, a sticky note, or a links widget for the tabs you open every morning.
Your calendar, the weather and your own numbers
Your day comes in from any calendar’s iCal link. On the calendar widget, choose Show your events and paste it. In Google Calendar it’s in your calendar’s settings, under Integrate calendar, as the Secret address in iCal format. The widget shows the month, with your next events beside it. See Google Calendar on Context Board for the details.
Weather, sunrise and sunset, public holidays and news headlines are free and need no account. They’re under Free and live in Connect.
Then the part a template can’t do. Add the numbers you actually check. Subscribers on your beehiiv newsletter. Stars on your GitHub repo. Your MRR from Stripe. You connect each app once, and its widget stays live while the board is open.
If a read ever fails, the widget keeps the last good number and says what went wrong and when. It never shows a number it didn’t receive.
Ask your agent to change it
Connect the AI you already use, like Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code, and you change the board in plain words. “Add call the accountant to my to-do list” finds your list. “Put the weather in Lisbon next to the clock” adds it. Everything an agent does shows its name and can be undone.
Link your computer too, and your own Claude Code or Codex can write you a morning brief at the time you pick. The one thing that matters today, what changed, what needs you and the three things to do first.
Keeping it in sight
A personal dashboard only works if you can see it. Press F for full screen on a second monitor. Press Shift+T to try themes on the board as you move through them. There are ten places with their own scenes, palettes like Tokyo Night and Nord, and photo themes.
Want one board for work and one for the rest of your life? Make both, and press G to see every board at once.
