What did I decide about pricing?

Found it, in the chat Pricing the plans: keep the starter plan at $19 and raise it in March.

Why ChatGPT history is hard to search

A ChatGPT export arrives as a zip. Inside, conversations.json holds every chat as a tree of messages, with the answers you regenerated and the prompts you edited still mixed in. Opened in a text editor, the decision you made in March is buried in brackets. Chat titles rarely say what a chat settled. So the answer you want sits somewhere in hundreds of chats, and you scroll until you give up and ask the question again.

How to search your ChatGPT history

  1. Export from ChatGPT In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Data controls, then Export data, and confirm. ChatGPT sends you a download link. Save the .zip and leave it closed.
  2. Import it into a doc board At board.contextbolt.com, choose New board, then Import from Google Docs, Notion, Word, ChatGPT or Claude, and drop the zip. Tick the chats you want and press Import.
  3. Read it, then ask your agent Each chat is a page under ChatGPT chats, newest first. Find one by its title, or ask your agent "what did I decide about pricing?" and it searches every chat for the words.

Why search it on Context Board

Each chat reads like a chatYour questions and ChatGPT's answers stay in order under You and ChatGPT, on the branch you ended on, with the chat's date and your pictures.
Your agent searches the wordsClaude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Codex can find a line in any chat by its words, then read the whole page and tell you which chat it came from.
Undo it in one clickYour files are read in your browser. If the import isn't what you wanted, Undo import moves its pages to the trash for 30 days.

How do I export my ChatGPT conversations?

In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Data controls, then Export data, and confirm. ChatGPT sends you a link to a .zip of your chat history, which expires, so download it when it arrives. Then drop that zip into the Import on Context Board to read and search it as pages.

Do I drop the zip or conversations.json?

Either works. Drop the zip as it comes, or the conversations.json from inside it, including exports split into parts like conversations-001.json. A board holds 2,000 pages, so a bigger export can go into several boards, and you can tick only the chats you want first.

What does a chat look like on the board?

A page named for the chat, starting with a grey line like "Chat from October 20, 2025, 14 messages". Your words sit in a quote under You, and ChatGPT's replies keep their Markdown under ChatGPT. Pictures that are in the export show on the page, up to 60 in one import, and attached files show by name.

What gets left out?

Only the branch you ended on is kept, so regenerated answers and edited prompts are left behind. So are system messages, tool results, ChatGPT's thinking and code it ran. A picture that isn't in the export shows as a note saying so.

Can my agent find "what did I decide about X"?

Yes. The search_boards tool searches the titles and text of every page on your boards, best matches first, ignoring case and accents. It returns the matching line, the heading it sits under and the chat's page, then the agent reads the page whole. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and VS Code can use it once connected, and so can the board's own chat.

Does it take Claude exports too?

Yes. In Claude, open Settings, then Privacy, then Export data, and drop the zip in. Chats become pages the same way, and a Claude project becomes a page holding its files and its instructions.
