Picture Geckoboard at its best. A TV on an office wall, five big numbers, a support team glancing up between tickets to see how the queue is doing. It is very good at that.
You might not have the wall. Or the team. You have a laptop, maybe a second monitor, and a business that is you plus a couple of AI agents doing the work you hand them.
A dashboard for one person’s screen
Geckoboard prices around the office. Essentials includes two dashboards, one editor and one screen, and each extra screen is $25 a month on monthly billing. Viewers are unlimited, because the point is that everyone in the room sees the same numbers.
A solo founder’s screen is the one in front of them. Context Board is a board on an infinite canvas that you arrange yourself, with revenue, signups, traffic and your agents on it. Press F and it fills the screen. Leave it on a spare monitor and it stays live while it is open. Want it on a TV in the corner? Share the board as a read-only view and open the link there.
A board your agent builds
In Geckoboard, someone on the team builds each dashboard in the dashboard creator. It is easy, and it is still somebody’s afternoon.
On Context Board your agent does it. Connect Stripe, Google Analytics or Supabase once, then ask Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor for “a wall board with this month’s revenue against my goal, signups per day, open Intercom conversations and Sentry errors.” It adds the widgets over MCP, and you drag them where you want them.
Geckoboard’s own Metrics MCP lets an AI tool read your numbers. This one lets it build the board, and change it next week when the goal moves.
Your agents get a tile too
If you build with Claude Code or Codex, the board can carry that as well. Link your computer once with one line from Connect, add the AI usage widget from the gallery, and it shows what is left of each plan’s five-hour window and week, as rings, with when each resets.
The Needs you widget lists the sessions waiting on you, for a question, an OK or a plan. On a second screen that is the tile you end up watching most, because a session that waits twenty minutes for a yes is twenty minutes of work that did not happen.
What it costs a solo founder
Geckoboard has no free plan. Essentials is $99 a month billed monthly, or $79 a month billed annually, which is $948 a year paid up front. Alerts, drilldowns and five screens start on Performance, at $399 a month billed monthly.
Context Board is $6 a month after a 3-day trial, or $72 over a year. One plan, with every connection, widget and theme in it. The difference over a year would buy the monitor you put it on.
Where Geckoboard still fits
Geckoboard is made for a team’s shared screen. Pair a browser-connected TV with a short code, cycle dashboards with Loops, give unlimited viewers a link, and on Performance send Slack or Microsoft Teams alerts when a metric crosses a threshold, with a full-screen celebration when the team hits a goal. In Geckoboard’s own words, it is designed for a whole team to understand from across the room.
That is a wall for a group. Context Board is one person’s board, and it does not send alerts. It is the thing you glance at. If you run a team that needs a TV in the office, run both. If the office is you, start with the board.
Try it on a second screen
Connect Stripe and one analytics source, link your computer with the one line from Connect, and ask your agent for a board you can read from across the desk.
Start your Context Board, free for 3 days. The business dashboard page shows a fuller layout, and the Supabase dashboard page shows how signups get there.
