7 Best Ubersuggest Alternatives in 2026 (Price and Limits)

Ubersuggest is Neil Patel’s SEO tool, and for most people it is the first one they pay for. Keyword ideas, a site audit, rank tracking and competitor pages, from $29 a month in the US.

So most people do not leave Ubersuggest to save money. It is one of the cheapest paid plans in the category, and it now runs inside Claude through an official connector. People leave because the plan’s limits are shaped wrong for how they work. The $29 plan covers one project. Its AI checks refresh once a month, and its rankings update once a week.

This guide ranks seven alternatives on price and on those limits. The pick is ContextBolt SEO, which is ours, so weigh the bias. It runs keyword, competitor, backlink, audit and AI visibility research inside the agent you already use, on any domain you name. Every result saves to your SEO Dashboard, and it costs $35 a month after a 7-day free trial.

Quick answer
  • ContextBolt SEO is the pick. Try it free for 7 days inside Claude, Cursor, Codex or ChatGPT. Then it is $35 a month for 1,000 credits, spent on any domain and any job, with no project slots to fill.
  • Mangools is the friendliest click-through suite, at $61 a month or $37.70 billed yearly.
  • SpyFu is the pick for competitors’ paid search history, from $39 a month.
  • Ahrefs and Semrush are the big suites, from $129 and $139 a month, with MCP from $129 on Ahrefs and $199 on Semrush.
  • Google Search Console is free and shows your real Google numbers. Pair it with one research tool.

What $29 buys on Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest’s pricing page shows three plans. Individual is $29 a month in the US, and Business and Enterprise sit above it, with the top published plan at $99. Monthly plans come with a 7-day free trial. Prices localize by region, so check yours.

Here is what Individual includes, straight off the plan card:

  • Projects: one, described as “for solopreneurs growing one website”.
  • Searches: 150 a day.
  • Rank tracking: 125 keywords per project, updated weekly.
  • Site audit: 1,000 pages per project, crawled weekly.
  • AI visibility: 10 prompts per brand, refreshed monthly.
  • Credits: 250 a month, plus 2 AI articles.

Every plan is also sold as a one-time lifetime purchase. Read the lifetime card closely. Lifetime Individual lists 200 monthly credits instead of 250, and its AI prompts run on demand only.

And Ubersuggest is no longer only a web app. Its MCP page lists an official Claude connector, Cursor and Windsurf support and a ChatGPT app, covering keyword research, domain analysis, backlinks, site audits and AI brand visibility.

Here is my slightly uncomfortable take. Price is the wrong reason to leave Ubersuggest. Nothing paid on this list is cheaper than $29. The right reason is the shape of the plan. You want a second site, AI answers checked this week and not next month, or your research saved in one place that tells you what changed.

1. ContextBolt SEO: one balance, any domain, inside your agent

Best for: founders, marketers and small teams who do their own SEO and already work in Claude, Cursor, Codex or ChatGPT.

ContextBolt SEO is an SEO toolkit that lives inside your AI agent. You connect it once with an MCP URL, then ask in plain English. What does this keyword look like. Who ranks for it. Which sites link to my rivals and not to me. Audit this site and tell me what to fix first.

It covers five jobs on one plan. Research (keywords, the live top ten, competitor domains). Audit and fix (a scored fix list for a site’s pages). Authority (backlink overview, referring domains and a gap finder). AI visibility (what AI answers say about you, and who they cite). Your real data (Google Search Console, connected free, with daily snapshots).

The Ubersuggest comparison that matters is how the limits work. There are no project slots. You get 1,000 credits a month and spend them on whichever domain and whichever job the week needs. A keyword lookup costs one credit. A backlink check costs three. A site audit costs one credit per page, 25 pages by default and up to 50 a run, on any domain you name. Your own Search Console never spends credits.

Here is one way a month of 1,000 credits can go. 500 keyword lookups, 100 backlink checks, two 50-page audits and 50 live AI answer checks. That is the whole balance, across as many sites as you like.

AI visibility is on demand, not on a monthly cycle. Ask a real buying question and ContextBolt runs it through ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Perplexity live, then returns the answer and the sources it cited, for two credits. For the long view, it counts twelve months of mentions across ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers. The rank in ChatGPT guide shows what to do with the result.

The data comes from DataForSEO’s keyword and link index. Like Ubersuggest’s numbers, they are estimates, decision-useful and directionally right, and your connected Search Console sits beside them with Google’s own figures.

Every lookup saves automatically to your SEO Dashboard, a private page you sign into from any machine. Ask about a keyword next month and the answer leads with what changed since last time. You can run the next lookup from the dashboard too, on the same credits.

Verdict: the pick. Six dollars more than Ubersuggest Individual buys no project cap, AI answers checked the day you ask, and one saved record of everything you researched. Start with the 7-day free trial, 100 credits, card required.

2. Mangools: the friendly suite

Best for: bloggers who liked Ubersuggest’s tables and want a cleaner version of them.

Mangools bundles five small tools, KWFinder, SERPChecker, SERPWatcher, LinkMiner and SiteProfiler. Basic is $61 a month, or $452.40 a year, which works out to $37.70 a month. The current bundle includes MCP and API access, and rank tracking on Basic updates weekly.

Verdict: the closest thing to a nicer Ubersuggest, at about twice the monthly price. It is still limited per tool. ContextBolt’s one balance covers keywords, audits, backlinks and live AI answer checks at $35.

3. SpyFu: competitors’ paid search history

Best for: anyone who runs Google Ads, or competes with someone who does.

SpyFu is built around competitor research, and its strength is history. It shows which keywords a rival has bid on and ranked for over the years, and estimates what they spend. Basic is $39 a month, or $348 billed yearly. Its Pro plan with AI opens at $59 for the first month and renews at $119.

Verdict: the right tool if paid search is part of the job, because that history is its specialty. For organic research, audits and AI answers inside your agent, ContextBolt covers more at $35.

4. Serpstat: a full suite under Semrush prices

Best for: small agencies that want an all-in-one suite without the big-name bill.

Serpstat covers keyword research, rank tracking, site audits and backlinks in one web app. Individual is $69 a month or $600 a year. Team is $129 a month or $1,200 a year, and that is where its MCP and API access start.

Verdict: a solid suite for the price. Its agent access starts at $129, and ContextBolt’s starts at $35 with the SEO Dashboard included.

Best for: people whose SEO is mostly about links.

Ahrefs built its name on backlinks, and its Domain Rating is the authority score many clients recognize. Starter is $29 a month, the same as Ubersuggest Individual. Lite, the first plan with its MCP server, is $129. Standard is $249.

Verdict: the choice if links are the whole job and your budget starts at $129. If you mostly want to know which sites link to your rivals and not to you, ContextBolt’s backlink gap answers that inside your agent. The link building with Claude guide walks through it.

6. Semrush: the biggest suite

Best for: teams that want SEO, PPC and content tools in one app and have the budget.

Semrush is the largest suite here. Keyword research, rank tracking, site audits, a big backlink index, PPC data and content tools. The entry plan, called SEO, is $139 a month or $117.33 billed yearly. Its MCP server starts on the $199 Starter plan for new customers.

Verdict: the upgrade if Ubersuggest felt small and money is not the constraint. It costs four times ContextBolt’s $35, and its agent access starts at $199.

7. Google Search Console: your real numbers, free

Best for: everyone, alongside one research tool.

Google Search Console is Google’s own report on your site. Real clicks, impressions, average position, the queries behind them, and which pages are indexed. Every paid tool above estimates. This one does not.

It only covers sites you own, so it cannot show you a competitor, a keyword you do not rank for yet, or who links to a rival.

Verdict: free and essential. Connect it to ContextBolt SEO at no credit cost and your real numbers sit in the same chat as the estimates. The Search Console connection guide takes two minutes.

Where Ubersuggest still fits

Ubersuggest is still the right buy for two readers. If you research one site and want one of the lowest monthly prices in the category, Individual at $29 does that. If you want to pay once and never see a subscription, every Ubersuggest plan comes as a lifetime purchase.

Those are price decisions. Most people searching for an Ubersuggest alternative have hit a limit instead. A second site, AI answers that are a month old, rankings that update weekly. That is where one credit balance inside your agent earns the extra $6, and ContextBolt SEO does it for $35.

How to switch off Ubersuggest without losing anything

  1. Start the ContextBolt trial first, before you cancel anything. Seven days and 100 credits, card required, and it becomes $35 a month unless you cancel.
  2. Export your Ubersuggest keyword lists and tracked keywords as CSV while you still have access.
  3. Connect Google Search Console to ContextBolt. It is free, never spends credits, and gives you the real rankings the tracker was estimating.
  4. Paste your top keywords into the agent and ask for volume, difficulty and the live top ten. The results save to your SEO Dashboard, so the list you built in Ubersuggest is rebuilt in one session.
  5. Run a site audit on each domain you care about, including the ones that never fit in your one project.

If you want the long version of step 5, site audit with Claude walks through one from the first prompt to the fix. Cancel Ubersuggest once a week of work has run without opening it.

Copy this prompt

Here are the 20 keywords I was tracking in
Ubersuggest. For each one, give me monthly volume,
difficulty and who ranks in the top three right now.
Then tell me which five my site could realistically
rank for this quarter, and why.

How to choose an Ubersuggest alternative

Pick the line that sounds like you.

  • You do your own SEO and work in an AI agent: ContextBolt SEO, $35 a month, 7-day free trial.
  • You want a friendlier table-based suite: Mangools.
  • Your competitors buy Google Ads: SpyFu.
  • You want a full suite on a mid-size budget: Serpstat.
  • You want the largest link index and have $129 or more: Ahrefs.
  • You want every tool in one app and have the budget: Semrush.
  • You want your real Google numbers: Google Search Console, free, next to whichever tool you pick.

The strongest cheap setup is two tools, not one. Search Console for the truth about your own site, and one research tool for everything outside it. With ContextBolt SEO both land in the same chat and the same SEO Dashboard. Best Ubersuggest Alternatives 2026: FAQs

What is the best Ubersuggest alternative in 2026?
ContextBolt SEO, at $35 a month after a 7-day free trial. It runs keyword, competitor, backlink, audit and AI visibility research inside Claude, Cursor, Codex or ChatGPT, on any domain you name, from one balance of 1,000 credits. Your Search Console connects free, and every lookup saves to your SEO Dashboard.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Ubersuggest?
Not among the suites on this list. Ubersuggest Individual is $29 a month in the US, and Ahrefs Starter matches it at $29. Google Search Console is free for your own site. ContextBolt SEO is $35, and the reason to pay the difference is the workflow, not the price.
Does Ubersuggest have an MCP server?
Yes. Ubersuggest has an MCP server with an official Claude connector that also works in Cursor and Windsurf, plus a ChatGPT app. ContextBolt SEO also runs inside your agent, for $35 a month, and adds live answer checks across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity plus an SEO Dashboard that saves every result.
Is the Ubersuggest lifetime plan worth it?
Read its limits first. The lifetime Individual plan lists 200 monthly credits against 250 on the monthly plan, and its AI prompts run on demand only. A lifetime price is a bet that the plan still fits in three years. ContextBolt SEO is $35 a month, and you can cancel any time.
Can I track more than one site on Ubersuggest Individual?
Individual includes one project, so a second site you want tracked and audited means moving up a plan. ContextBolt SEO has no project slots. You run keyword, backlink and audit lookups on whichever domain you name, and each one spends credits from the same 1,000 a month.
