You open a whiteboard to think through next quarter. Twenty minutes later there’s a mind map, a few sticky notes, and an empty corner where the numbers should be. Then you copy the map into a chat to ask your agent what’s missing.
Context Board’s mind maps skip the copying. Your agent reads the map itself and adds to it, and your live numbers float beside it, the way they do on your dashboard. Context Board is ours, so weigh the bias. Miro’s prices were read on its own site on November 4, 2026.
One map your agents grow
Claude added Referrals and its three ideas in one call, and they glow as they land. On a phone the same map shows as its Outline. Example map, example numbers.
The topic sits in the middle and every idea branches out from it, left and right, each branch in its own color. The map lays itself out as it grows. Press Tab for an idea inside, Enter for one beside it, and the arrows to move around.
Ask Claude to “add ideas for a referral program.” It reads the map, puts Referrals under Channels with three ideas, and they glow as they arrive. Fold a branch and it shrinks to a small +N. Focus on one idea and it takes the middle, with a trail back to the whole map. The Outline shows the same map as a list you can read and write, and More downloads it as Markdown. The mind map docs list every key.
Widgets float beside the map and never over it. Put MRR from Stripe and the road to $10k next to your Goals branch, and the plan and the numbers stay in one view.
What the agent sends
edit_map add under "Channels"
- Referrals
- A free month for each studio referred
- A thank-you note from Sam
- A badge on the booking pageThe board answers “Added 4 ideas under “Channels”.” Before it writes, read_map gives the agent the whole map as an indented outline, folded branches included, so it knows where each idea belongs.
Those are the two tools any connected agent uses on a map. read_map returns the tree as an outline. edit_map adds, renames, moves, folds, unfolds, connects and removes ideas, several changes in one call, and if one can’t be done, none are. Each change is one Undo, and Board activity says which agent made it.
Miro has an official MCP server too, on every plan. It works with Claude, Codex, ChatGPT, Cursor and more, and reads and writes a board as SVG, diagrams, tables and comments. Its tools page, updated October 28, 2026, names no tool for mind maps, so test it on your own map. Our Miro MCP guide shows how.
What it costs
Miro’s prices from its pricing page on November 4, 2026: $8 and $20 a member a month billed yearly, $10 and $25 billed monthly. Context Board is $12 a month.
Miro’s AI runs on credits. Starter’s 25 a member a month is, by Miro’s own count, about 12 document summaries or 5 diagrams. On the board, the chat runs on your Claude Code or Codex plan and any agent you connect works on its own plan, so there’s nothing to top up. And the $12 covers the plan boards, docs, posts and dashboards the map turns into.
Where Miro still fits
Pick Miro if a team thinks together on one canvas. Live cursors, timers and voting, Talktrack recordings, diagrams and 7,000+ templates are what it’s built for, and Business brings guests in from outside.
Context Board is built for one person and their agents, with no team plan or seats. If the map is yours and you want your agent working on it beside your numbers, start with the board. Best second brain apps covers where a map sits beside your notes.
Try it with next quarter
Make a mind map board, type the quarter in the middle and add three branches. Then ask your agent to fill the gaps, and put your MRR beside it.
