Otterly’s Lite plan is $29 a month, which makes it look like the cheap way into AI visibility. Then you read what $29 covers.
Fifteen tracked prompts. The 100-prompt plan is $189, and that is also where the API and MCP access live. Extra engine coverage can cost more on top.
ContextBolt is $35, with no prompt ceiling, and the SEO toolkit that acts on the answer is in the same subscription.
Fifteen questions is a sample
Think about how many ways a buyer might ask about your category. Best tool for X. X alternatives. Is X worth it. How do I do X without paying for Y. Cheapest X for a small team.
Fifteen slots does not cover that, and you spend the first month deciding which questions to sacrifice. That is a strange thing to be optimizing when the underlying job is just “find out where we stand”.
ContextBolt does not ration by prompt slot. You run a check when you want one and it spends credits from the 1,000 you get monthly. Ask a different question next week without rearranging a plan.
Monitoring tells you. It does not help you
Here is what a tracker cannot do, on any plan.
When the answer names three competitors and not you, you want to see which pages it cited, what those pages actually cover, whether your equivalent page is even ranking for the underlying query, and what an audit says about it.
ContextBolt does all of that in the same conversation, because the AI visibility tools sit next to keyword research, SERP analysis, backlinks, page audits and your connected Search Console. Then you ask the agent to write the change.
That is why the $35 is not really competing with the $29. One is a gauge and the other is a workshop.
Where Otterly still fits
Otterly checks a fixed prompt set automatically and fills in a chart without you, which is what a monitor is for. If you report a visibility number to somebody every month, that is its job, and the AEO tools roundup ranks the trackers properly.
Most people shopping at $29 are not running a reporting program. They want to know where they stand and what to do about it. ContextBolt runs the check when you ask, keeps it on your SEO Dashboard, and puts the SEO tools that act on it in the same conversation. Start there, and add a monitor later if a chart becomes a deliverable.
Check the plan, not the headline
Both of these prices are easy to misread, so it is worth being explicit. Otterly’s MCP and API are Standard features at $189. Additional engines can add cost. ContextBolt’s $35 includes the MCP endpoint, because the agent is the product.
The SEO tool pricing guide puts prompt allowances and research credits side by side, since they are not the same unit and nobody says so.
Try one real question
Ask what ChatGPT says when someone asks the buying question in your category, then follow the citations.
That single thread, from answer to source to your own page to a drafted fix, is what $35 buys. Start the 7-day trial with 100 credits. A card is required, and it becomes $35 a month unless you cancel before the trial ends.
